Central City is in the very heart of Amestris. The city its self is rather massive with various research labs and other military facilities scattered about. This is well known for being the military capital of the world and houses about eighty percent of Amestris' military.

This is a small mining town which was once a wealthy place, until the Amestrian military invaded it. They stole the mine and began asking the people for outrageous taxes. Luckily for them, the Elric brothers happened by here and set things straight.

Resembool is a small farming town south of Central. This is the hometown of Ed and Al. To them, it holds a lot of meaning, being the place where they first began their journey to correct a mistake and the place where they finally ended their journey.

West City is the major military hub in the west side of Amestris. It guards against the Cretans who constantly threaten to invade this part of the country.

This is the first place the Elric brothers came in order to search for the Philosopher's stone. It was here they uncovered the fake prophet 'Cornelo' unknown to them, making the situation here worse then it already was.

A city in the eastern region of Amestris, which serves as the military command base for the area. Though considered by many as a "backwater" place with little future, East City boasts what is recognized as Amestris' strongest offensive force.

Rush Valley is well known for the wide range of automail that can be found here, and in fact it is an automail mechanics dream to come to this place. It was because of the experienced mechanic who seem to congregate here, that the city soon became known as 'the Boomtown of the Broken Down.'
